This is just a very brief evaluation and review of the Truth Social social media platform. The TL;DR takeaway is this: Just as this so-called “social media” is designed by, and for neurotypicals, it is not a safe space for autistic people. This is a time-sink; a complete waste of your time.
I had previously spent some time looking at other platforms and it eventually occurred to me that possibly this one might be for me. Nope. Same miasma of ego power trips, same echo chamber. The best way to describe the feeling: The double toll of the bell in a church tower that hits the monk immediately after he rings it. “Truth Social is promoted as a ‘Big Tent’ social media service that advocates for free speech. Truth Social suggests users block or mute content they do not want to see and will only remove content that violates its terms of service.”
The Truth here is they have no compunction in removing autistic users from their platform. Standard public relations reality distortion in that they seemingly say “free speech”, but the reality is they just arbitrarily ban anyone they don’t like. Typical of “social” neurotypicals and the “Us vs Them” psychology. Autistic people? Mental defectives. If they don’t like you socially, you are gone. Just like upper level officers in the military. If an enlisted man falls afoul of some overgrown frat boy they will “Eddie Gallagher” him. The USAF did this to me in 1981. My future was destroyed, so I have zero patience with “social” neurotypicals who play these games.
I was Elder Stalked on this platform. The 419 scammers using the platform are angry because they tried to sucker me to the tune of $8800, and it failed. I may have had a stroke, but I had no problem playing them long enough to track them down. They were trying to impersonate Megyn Kelly.
I don’t download apps to my phone – I use it just as a phone. The Truth Social Android app was the first time I ever broke this rule. The UI is so different, and so small, when I saw this ‘Follow Megyn Kelly’ button I thought it was to notify me of new show releases. Didn’t get a magnifying glass out and look carefully enough. Later on my desktop I saw a notification, and when I went to check it out Megyn Kelly was DM’ing me? Uh huh. Right. As soon as I saw it I knew it was BS. Played along for a while to log the traffic. Got bored and moved on. They didn’t. These people are still trying to “liaise” with me. A Google Translate job on the last email I got was butchered from Chinese. They were so pissed they DNS cache-poisoned my honeypot domain name, redirecting to a Google, Hong Kong, Chinese parking page. Doing it via the CloudFlare network was fairly impressive, to say the least. According to CloudFlare advertising their services are allegedly supposed to prevent this kind of thing. They even went so far as an oblique threat against my mother’s life. Empty threat. She is dying now, and I will be dead soon. Law Enforcement is useless when it comes to this kind of thing. You can report to DOJ, DHS, FBI all you want: everyday regular citizens mean nothing to them. Someone really should be kind and tell Truth Social they have Chinese hackers up on their platform.
Verdict: Truth Social is just another cesspool of neurotypical ideation. Not safe for the elderly, as I was specifically targeted for my age. No difference between any other network that would broadcast the Joy Reids of this world. It all looks the same to me. Don’t waste your time. All the while you are “using” this platform you are doing nothing productive with your time. Wiping my anus is time better spent.
